My story and the story of Mères Nature

I grew up in Canada with a single mom who, with little money but a lot of love, encouraged me to make my dreams come true. After my university studies in Nutrition in Quebec, I moved to Lausanne (Switzerland) where I worked for a few years as a nutritionist in a sports environment. Always passionate about sport, I also completed a personal training certification in Geneva in 2015, allowing me to better understand the human body and guide my clients to achieve their health goals.

In August 2017, I became a mother and it was for me the start of a period of great change and learning. In the months following my childbirth, following my husband's professional retraining and our move to German-speaking Switzerland, I found myself in a kind of depression, being far from my family and friends and having taken a break from my occupations to take care of my daughter. I felt isolated and in mourning from my previous life, as if I had lost a part of myself. Sport, nature, yoga and sewing helped me better live and understand this world of emotions in which I had locked myself. Spending time outdoors with my daughter every day has helped decrease my anxiety and strengthen this bond that unites us. I can say that today I feel fully happy here and in my role as a mom.

It was while going through these ordeals that I became aware of my "why". It became clear to me that I wanted to help moms, giving them the keys that will allow them to experience this time of great change with more joy, more strength and more energy. In May 2019, I went ahead in this project by specializing in perinatal training with the MAMABB certification from Educardio in Montreal. I am currently pursuing yoga training in Zurich, then helping women find more energy by reconnecting with themselves.

I firmly believe that our relationship with nature is crucial to our overall health and to the health of our planet. So I created Mères Nature to promote the importance of this precious connection, by offering outdoor training. Each participation in training will help to plant a tree in a reforestation area. I also created Mères Nature props during the March 2020 lockdown for fun and to give everyone the opportunity to plant trees through the organization OneTreePlanted. How many trees will you plant in 2021?

Finally, I invite you to consult the Nutrition section if you want to replenish your energy in the coming year. I look forward to meeting you and guiding you to a life better connected with nature through physical activity and nutrition.
